I keep opening the studio and finding more rooms

Round Table Draft got approved. Saman Pantry is in App Review. H.I.M. shipped 2.4. Setboard is the fourth product, still building. I also redesigned samaan.tech. This is what that stretch actually looked like.

keep catching myself talking about "the studio" like it's a place with a door.

Most days it's me, a laptop, Orlando heat through the window, and a handful of products competing for the same hour. Samaan Technologies still fits on one line of a bio. The work does not.

This stretch made that hard to ignore.

I was on vacation from the day job and still spent both legs of a six-hour flight inside the studio. Tray table, headphones, review notes, half-finished screens. Same energy later that trip: I left the rave, got back to the hotel, and opened the laptop again. I'm not proud of that in a hustle-poster way. I'm just telling on myself. When the products are alive, they don't stay politely in the weekday calendar.

I left the rave, got back to the hotel, and opened the laptop again.

Round Table Draft cleared App Review in the middle of all that. I'd been living in that Traitors fantasy draft for a sealed season of friends arguing over rosters and weekly calls, and suddenly the iOS build was on the other side of Apple's gate. The web app had already been out. Getting the phone version approved still hit different. It felt like the private joke could finally be a download, not a TestFlight I had to shepherd.

Saman Pantry went into review in the same window. That one sits closer to home. It's for a desi kitchen: the way a household actually remembers a dish, and the pantry that has to keep up. Submitting it didn't feel like a launch. It felt like mailing something you've been rewriting after dinner for months.

H.I.M. is on 2.4 now. Approved and live. Screen names and buddy lists, away messages, rooms, DMs. Friendship before proximity. It's been with me longest in this pile, which means it keeps asking for another honest version instead of a victory lap. Shipping 2.4 didn't feel like arrival. It felt like people are already inside, so keep going.

Setboard came from closer than a brainstorm. My boss had the need. Cheer coaches trying to plan formations and hold a roster without the whole routine dying in a spreadsheet or a group chat. My studio was already set up to build specific tools for specific people, so I built it. The product is not packaged or live yet. I care more about useful than finished packaging right now.

Setboard came from closer than a brainstorm. My boss had the need.

I also redesigned samaan.tech. The old hub was starting to feel like a placeholder for a studio that had already outgrown it. The new site had to hold more than one imprint without pretending we're a big company. Front door for the work. Not a costume.

samaan: four products, one studio. H.I.M., Saman Pantry, Round Table Draft, Setboard.
I used to think growth would announce itself with some clean metric that made the whole thing feel big overnight.

What actually happened is quieter. I looked up and realized I wasn't tending one product with a side project anymore. I was switching between a fantasy league, a kitchen app, a social space, and a coach's mat, sometimes in the same day, sometimes at 35,000 feet, sometimes in a hotel room with bass still in my ears. That density is the growth for me. Surface area, not a scale story.

Samaan's thesis didn't change. I build things I couldn't find. I stay specific. I try to make the utility obvious before I get cute about branding. The line still holds for me: digital provisions for modern life. Sāmān-e-zindagī. The difference is I now have more than one proof point sitting in the real world at different stages of real.

The part I don't romanticize is the middle. App Review with nothing clever to post. The boring midnight fix. Names that don't line up cleanly across the store, the domain, and what I say out loud yet. A fourth product still being built in one hand and unfinished packaging in the other. A vacation that still somehow belonged to the studio.

That's most of the job when you're the whole company.

I'm not writing this to sell a method. I'm writing it so I remember what this stretch actually was. Round Table Draft got approved. Pantry is in the queue. H.I.M. is on 2.4. Setboard is still building because someone I work with needed it and I could start it. samaan.tech got redesigned so the front door matched the rooms behind it. A denser studio than I had a season ago. Still one operator. Still Orlando. Still choosing better fits over collecting apps for the sake of it.

If you're building something small and specific and it suddenly multiplied on you, maybe you're not behind. Maybe the studio just got crowded because the work started mattering in more than one place.

More soon. Preferably as shipping notes, not vibes.
